Author's Notes:
My basic goal in creating Konosus was not to provide the Unreal
community with yet another "frag fest", rather it was to produce a
realistic castle setting with enough area to allow some tactical
strategy.  With little exception, all weapons were placed indoors while
most ammo and health are outdoors; forcing players to spend time both
inside and out.  Although its large area promotes sniping (which in
itself is great on this map) there are definite focal points in the
both upper and lower castle courtyards.  Bot play is adequate but, as
usual, they tend to drown when falling in the water.  Even so, bot play
turned out fairly well.  When Unreal Tournament is released, I will
most likely release a CTF version of this map with minor changes to
balance the territories.  Although the teleporters are a bit out of the
setting, they provide a necessary conduit to speed access between the
two castles.  They are not the only "secret of Minos", however.  By
keeping an eye on others privy to the real secret, or by snooping at
the level with UnrealEd, perhaps you'll discover the real secret!
